Holy Week and Easter



March 25, Palm Sunday/Passion Sunday

We  re-live and celebrate Christ’s entry to Jerusalem,

focusing on the events of the last week of His life among us.

8:30 am    Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Men’s Group in Fellowship Hall.  A free-will offering will be received.
10:00 am    Worship Service

Our palm branches wave and songs are sung

as we hear the scriptures of Jesus’ triumphant entry to Jerusalem.  

We move toward Christ’s journey to the Cross.  

March 28, Wednesday
  7:00 pm    Choir Rehearsal

March 29, Maundy Thursday
6:00 pm    Simple soup supper with traditional  Passover items around the tables.  You are invited to bring food items.  Sign up on the sheet found in the Narthex.
7:00    Worship Service, Holy Communion .  

March 30, Good Friday

7:00 pm    Lessons and Processions
 A procession of scripture lessons and songs from outside into the sanctuary as we remember Jesus' death on the cross.

March 31,  Lazarus Saturday 

5:30 p.m.   Roots and Roofs Easter Vigil, with a dixieland band.  

April 1, Easter Sunday
6:30 am    Resurrection Celebration with an outside sunrise worship at our Church.  Holy Communion shared.  Following our worship, please join us inside to warm up with coffee and sweet rolls.
9:50    Worship as the sounds of organ and voice sing the news, “The stone was rolled away.  No longer death, but life.”  Holy Communion shared, Adult Choir sings, Hand Bells played.  
11:30  Special Fellowship with sweets and finger foods.  Children are invited to an Easter Egg Hunt in the Church yard.

Wednesday evenings

February 28 and  March 7, 14 and 21

6:00 – 7:00 pm in the social hall

Enjoy soup and reflection each week this Lenten season .  Members will share spiritual practices that are significant to them.  Topics like meditation and  walking the labyrinth are on tap.   No registration for these free evenings.  

March 11 – Fourth Sunday in Lent  

(Daylight Savings Time Begins)

10:00 am   Worship - Healing service.  Whether in a particular situation or or just in our everyday lives, we all need the reminder that our God is good and faithful to us. Our service will focus on comfort and healing, with music, candle lighting, and the opportunity to be anointed and pray with our Pastor.
